Kelp

A group of algae, often referred to as ‘brown algae’ due to their color (ranging from brown to olive green), primarily found in marine environments. With approximately 1500 species, they vary greatly in size and shape. These algae fortify the hydrolipidic barrier, reduce inflammatory mediators, and stimulate collagen and glycosaminoglycan production. They are used in skincare to moisturize and protect against photoaging as well as premature aging.
