Provitamin B5 (panthenol)

Also known as pantothenol, panthenol is the alcohol analogue of pantothenic acid (vitamin B5), making it a provitamin of B5. It is a hydrating and moisturizing substance used for skincare and relief from superficial micro-injuries, including sunburns. Panthenol provides deep hydration, improves skin elasticity, reduces itching and inflammation, and accelerates the healing of epidermal wounds.
